Attorney Profiles

Karen Semanek is certified as a specialist in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Ms. Semanek was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1985. She holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston and a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.

In addition to being admitted to practice law in all Texas courts, Ms. Semanek is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Ms. Semanek is an active member of numerous bar associations, including the American Association for Justice and the Houston Bar Association.  From 2002 through 2004, Ms. Semanek served as president of the East Harris County Bar Association and currently serves as a Vice-President of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.  Ms. Semanek also served from 2000 through 2006 (panel chair 2005 2006) as a member of the State Bar of Texas District 4 Grievance Committee.  Ms. Semanek also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Lawyer Referral Service.
