Choosing a Law Firm
Whether you choose our law firm, or another law firm, you should at least do the following: Investigate Early An investigation should be started while the physical evidence is fresh and witnesses' memories are still clear. Early investigation may mean the difference between winning and losing a case. The insurance industry knows this. Insurance company representatives may induce accident victims, or their families, into doing nothing by making early assurances to them. In the meanwhile, the insurance company continues its investigation of the case. Later, citing the results of their investigation, they may refuse to live up to their earlier assurances. (Also see Fearless Fieldwork). Hire the Best You would not go to a general practice doctor for a brain surgery, and you should not go to a general practice lawyer with a personal injury or wrongful death case either. General practice lawyers are often juggling things like divorce, probate and criminal matters, all of which are competing with your case for attention. Insurance companies hire specialty lawyers, and so should you. Your injury or death case should be entrusted to a legal team that specializes in injury and death cases. (Also see Attorney Profiles).
